MetWorks is a private company that grew directly out of the reorganisation of the UK Meteorological Office at the end of 2000.

Combining decades of marine experience with top quality forecast data, MetWorks offers a weather routeing service designed to meet the needs of the profit conscious ship operator. Total voyage costs can be reduced significantly in return for a moderate fee. Some insurers offer discounts to operators using weather routeing services.

The MetWorks Team

The Managing Director and all the operational ship weather routing staff have been trained in marine meteorology by the UK Met Office and have a sound practical knowledge of ships, seafarers and the seas.
